Given the ever more raucous noises coming frmo our politicians and the green lobby regarding ecological matters I wonder if if might be tiem to introduce a forum for collection of information and debate amongst petrolheads?

Vehicle users and air travellers are prime targets for the plant fertilizer gas haters so a constructive response would seem to be a useful idea. PH has some critical mass for information sharing amongst those who have an interest.

This article for example,

www.spiked-online.com/index.php?/site/earticle/2097/

highlights the position of the main politically involved organisations and makes their opposition to anything that produces CO2, but especially vehicles of course, quite obvious.

The second part of the article makes it clear that they are not open to even thinking about alternative ways to approach the hypothesised problem. Thus we can be fairly sure that they have just one objective - to drive us off the roads and out of the air if at all possible, probably irrespective of the potential for developing other fuels and their storage technologies in a reasonable period of development time.

Unlike the claims for global warming, legal processes and tax changes can be enacted quite quickly. If we wish to keep up with developments in those areas and have focused confounding information available to us readily a PH forum might be just the place to visit.

What do people think?

Good idea or too political?
