Although for £100 pm I imagine the car could arrive with a missing wheel and a dog turd curled up on the drivers seat and you'd still make do smile

Anyone got a delivery date yet? OSV contacted me today to say I hadn’t signed one page of the agreement despite the funder’s DocuSign accepting it as completed.

Guess I won’t be seeing my truck for a bit yet.

No, I’ve been told that because of the number sold, the PDI process is in chaos. I ordered mine with CVL and to be fair they have been good in terms of updates. I have a reg number but they have said that it is currently sat at the port waiting to be shipped out but due to sheer weight of numbers, not to expect mine until last week of Jan/early Feb.
That’s pretty interesting because I’ve heard from someone that’s often at the port that any of them with plates on have been shipped out on transporters already! scratchchin

I’ve just had my delivery date confirmed as Thursday this week. Ordered from Leasing Pro following the post on page 1. Have had great service from Louis and Heather so a bit surprised by the post above.
Excellent! Despite being the original poster of this thread I ended up ordering via OSV who I’m still waiting on a delivery date from.

This is turning into a real farce now - various reports today of trucks being delivered to people that haven’t even signed agreements rofl

I know the director of a Maxus dealership, I found out yesterday that the reason for such a drastic drop in price was because Maxus realised they fked up making a 2wd truck, they offloaded all the vehicles to all the dealerships for less than cost to get rid of them and have now started the 4x4 version which should retail at around £60k.
Seems odd to only realise that after dumping a few million quid into them when anyone could’ve told them that at prototype stage

OSV called today to schedule delivery, I’m not available on the suggested date so I’m awaiting them confirming they’re either bringing it a week later or that I can pick it up from the supplying dealer earlier.

I must admit I’m starting to lose patience with mine and a thinking of going car shopping at the weekend. But I know it will be Sod’s Law that I’ll find something and they’ll then ring to say it’s ready!
Deliveries do seem to be picking up a little now - my one is scheduled for the 19th but would’ve been the 12th if I was available

It’s not the £100 a month that’s the issue (far from it), more the complete lack of updates on potential arrival date and me sitting here with no current vehicle. A bit like if the wife/girlfriend is failing to ‘put out’ at home, invariably your eye starts to wander, How long that takes is different for everyone, but I’m definitely at the ‘wandering eye’ stage (in vehicle terms!).
Have you signed the paperwork? I’m not sure it’s that easy to cancel once you have is it?

I'm a little confused - were the lunatic deals because they needed to shift the vehicles by year end? If you're only getting paperwork in 2024 and the vehicles at some point maybe, they didn't complete the sales at their deadline.

Does that not mean they are giving them away for nothing without even having hit the sales target?
They were all registered before 23rd Dec.

Yeah correct, still all sat at a port awaiting delivery apparently. as I've said previously, launching a ridiculous deal and for those who paid a "holding deposit" its a large amount of money to take for "free" and then issue refunds etc.
Who’s asked you for a holding deposit? All I’ve paid for mine is the admin fee to the broker which would be due for any kind of lease deal arranged with them.

They’re not all still sat at the port, a lot of them are now with the supplying dealers

I also avoided the deal which was something like pay a month up front, but they wanted 9 months upfront with the promise that they would refund 8 months when the truck arrived (or something like that). That just didn't sit right with me, just felt like the broker trying to cash in on the deal.
This is what I’m doing - haven’t had to pay the initial to the funder yet though.

There is something very smelly going on in the background. If all the cars were "sold" on 23rd December, but 6 weeks later the "buyer" has neither been asked to pay a deposit or has a firm delivery date, at least some of these may be vapourware.
The buyer is the lease company though. They’ve been sold to them and are then being supplied on a pre-registered lease to idiots like me.

I think there’s two things at play here - Maxus dealers broadly being useless and unable to cope with suddenly shifting massive volume they’re not used to and the whole lease company / broker model being as inefficient as it is.

I’ve just asked this morning if collection is an option to speed things up and it might be but the vehicle needs to get to the dealer first lol
I asked this too - they offered delivery on the 12th at first but I’m away, was hoping to collect a few days before, but was told no.

Means I’m back in a rented Polestar from Hertz for a week instead of trying to do 1000 miles in one of these, so it’s not all bad hehe

New one on the FB group today, leasing company have come back with some story to say original finance figures were a mistake (due to OLEV grant being incorrectly calculated), and still offering to provide the truck if the guy pays an increased deposit and monthlies.

Not helping themselves with those that already think they are being a bit shifty!

On another note - Toasterpilot- Is it your FB group?, the ‘T90 victims’ biglaugh
Yeah it is biggrin the other one looked st and full of spam.

I reckon the funder (Novuna) is playing silly buggers in that instance - they’ve cancelled signed agreements too with some people which is a bit naughty!

Thankfully mine is funded by Leasys who seem to actually be getting on with delivering what they’ve promised.

The guy with the rusting one (which he’s trying to reject) has bought it, so the £100 a month doesn’t come in to it.
And again, whether it’s a £100 or £1000, a brand new car shouldn’t be rusting out (again, where they’ve been kept and for how long shouldn’t come into it). If it drives terribly and you’ve never test driven it, agreed that’s the buyers issue. If the infotainment system doesn’t work properly, again not a deal breaker and to be expected to an extent on a Chinese vehicle.

But for things like rust and safety issues around the handbrake you can’t just discount that ‘because it’s a cheap lease’. They didn’t sell them at £100 a month ‘because they’ve got a bit of rust, they’d be £250 otherwise Guvnor’, they were sold as new vehicles.
The guy trying to reject his has some surface rust on some suspension components that will be rusty on about 99% of cars on the road.

The one with dodgy paint and rust actually on panels would be more of a worry.

Ah bit of a change of plan, this isn’t actually with CVL

I was originally with CVL and signed up to £150 a month, nothing upfront, 18 month lease with 8000 miles per annum and was waiting for a delivery date. Then about 3 weeks ago I got a email from Premier Vehicle Leasing (whom I’d tried to get one from prior to Christmas). They said they had had someone drop out and could offer to me. It was again 18 month with nothing upfront but it was only £105 a month with 10,000 miles so bit of a no brainer really.
So I cancelled my CVL order (they didn’t mind as apparently they had people queuing up to get any cancellations) and went with PVL, and that’s who have provided the delivery date for next week.

But I had a long chat with the lady who called. She said it is painful getting the vehicles out of the port as they cannot deal with the numbers. You get allocated a registration number then it’s pot luck when it’s released from the port. She also said the size of the truck doesn’t help as she said that normally they’d have 6 or even 8 cars to a transporter (depending on vehicle size) they are only fitting 4 of the T90’s on each transporter. She said they’ve got 50 ordered through them and they’ve confirmed deliveries now for 20 of them so still 30 to go, so deliveries will be going well into March.
This transporter has 6 on, so I’m not sure it’s that big a deal.

The various lease brokers do like coming up with stories to explain why it’s all so shambolic though, I’ll give them that.

Saw 2 of these separately on the M1 yesterday - both 73 plates. Look quite smart but the white one I saw the handle for the load bed door was already faded to a beige colour, indicative that they have been sat around for some time and not exactly built to a high quality.

But if you are paying £100 a month should you care?
They’ve been sitting around for more than a year.

No, you shouldn’t care. Some idiots bought them though.

I don’t really understand the obsession with the pedestrian warning sound - yeah it’s a little louder and weirder than some other EVs but unplugging it seems pretty stupid.
