Le mans on the fly

I haven’t made any plans to go to Le Mans this year (or any other year for that matter) but since I live in Brussels I am a relatively short driving distance away so I was wondering. If I made a decision on the Thursday or Friday to come down could I park and get in? Can I buy tickets on the gate? Would I be able to park anywhere? Camping is not an issue I’d sleep in the car (I’d be coming solo). Would I get moved on by the police if I parked up somewhere and slept in the car? I know it’s all a bit last minute and I should organize things better but the situation is I may be unexpectedly free that weekend and quite fancy having a blast down there. I don’t mind a bit of discomfort and inconvenience as a penalty for my lack of planning but don’t want a totally wasted journey. Is it doable?
