Hi Pete, I've seen pictures of the Lusso which look amazing. Are the seats Ferrari or aftermarket. If aftermarket do you have any details? And finally, comfortable or functional?

Cheers.
Hi Bowks

Thanks it’s been under restoration for the past 3 years, taking it back to Competizione spec but with a bit of added oomph. I don’t give a st about it not being up to Ferrari classiche code, it’s mine and I’m never selling it.
The seats are still genuine Ferrari seats, I’ve just had O’Roukes coachtrimmers re-leather them in the same colour and Connolly hide as my 275 6C.

No, that was my 250 GTE, which I ‘found’ years later. Haha

Hey everyone

Sorry I’ve been away for so long, had a bit of a crazy time lately. Hit 40 last year and literally just went crazy for racing.
Bought a load of rally cars, done a load of rallying. Treated myself to a lot of special motorbikes and have been doing a lot of track days.
Most recently I’ve just done my ARDS with Ferrari and I’ll start my 488 challenge career at the end of April.

So I’ll keep you up to date with all that.
Also another thing that brought me back on here tonight is that I saw Luther on Netflix tonight (his new film) and I remember I said my mate Jordan did the stunt driving for it a year or so ago and someone on here who worked on set for Luther said that they would never film another one. Well seeing if tonight just reminded me of that conversation, which brought my here again haha.
Oh also, I should take delivery of my Singer DLS any day now.
How’s everyone doing?

Any updates on the new fleet of rally cars ?
Yeah man, I’ve only just commented on that. Rallying is so much fun.
I ended up buying Bertie Fishers Manta in the end. Along with a few more special pieces like Solbergs reccie Subaru and an extra WRC spec Cossie.
Got the 6R4 and mk2 escort too. So only 5 rally cars in the fleet but I do have a Lancia 037 joining the fleet very very soon.

Lancia 037 is a thing of beauty. I recall Kimera made a modern interpretation a few years ago which looked equally immense.
Does the rallying aspect have a bolt on for your portfolio insurance in the same way as track day use, or do you have to have a motorsport specific policy given the value of the rally oriented machines in the collection?
Insurance!!!!! What’s that! 😂😂

Yep me too started watching it then had to turn off. Today private so I suppose that’s that then. OP was always great at showing us stuff but maybe he’s decided to not be so open due to current economic climate and energy costs for people. I can imagine it’s the case as he seemed a really decent person.
I’m still here but yeah there’s a lot of contributing factors, first one is I started doing a lot more racing so my time has been swallowed up with that. A lot of charity work, and I mean A LOT!!!! Which kind of fked my head up a bit, not nice seeing all these poor souls suffering so much. So I had to take a bit of time away from everything.
Spending more time with my family and yes, a huge factor has been that it’s not cool flaunting my st around whilst plenty of people are struggling. So I’m selling a lot of my collection and reinvesting my money in our PPA/Solar/Renewal products.
Basically funding businesses to install solar on a large scale where they can actually make money from the power they generate.
I’m also moving abroad for sunnier climates. So yeah, lots going on.

Hi guys

I’ve just had a message on Instagram saying I need to jump on here and just check in with everyone. I’m currently at Wimbledon watch Novak and Jordan slog it out so don’t have much time to get into the finer details.
First things first, everyone just chill out. We’re all adults and as such need to respect other people’s comments. Ya big bunch of flutes haha.
To clarify, it’s really not a simple job as converting it as it’s a whole sealed cabin shell. So yeah it would have to be a whole new car.
I did ask for them to do it and they said “NO”, straight up denied.
I also asked for another one in LHD and again they said “NO”
I am moving abroad to a country that I cannot register the car because it is RHD so it’s pointless. All my cars are.
I will however be rebuilding my collection, and it’ll be even bigger.
So apart from my rally cars and my Ferrari challenge car and motorbikes, everything is being replaced.
Now, can we all just hold hands and get along haha.
And remember, these are just cars, possessions. I own possessions, I don’t let them own me

Haha I’d love to but his career is just taking off since he did the Gran Turismo film and the very last episodes of The Grand Tour, so unfortunately I think his roots are firmly planted.

Good to hear from you again Pete, even if you are moving out of the UK. frown

I'll just have to travel when/if you ever open the doors to your collection up to PHers!

Good luck with all your plans. thumbup
And that will happen, it was always the intention. I just can’t deal with this country any more, it strangles anyone that tries to make a better life for themselves. So I’m off to Dubai where businesses can grow and everyone pays their own way and fair share. I’m all for helping out and I do believe that those that have a little bit more should pay a bit more, however I’m not down with socialism.
Anyway, don’t want to get on this debate train haha. I will be growing my collection again in the Middle East and it will be greater than the current one, which was even better than my original.
I’m definitely going to be stepping out of my comfort zone, think I’ll go Pagani, Spyker, Bugatti and something rare and weird like a road going 962.
And if anyone is going to Silverstone for the Ferrari Challenge 1-3 September then please drop in my garage and come and say hello.

What's happening with the house and shmuseum builds?
Well after having the house for just over 2 years and Cheshire East Council dragging their feet for my planning application and the fact that I’m moving away, I decided to sell the house.
Pretty much got snapped up off market and within 48 hours.
Our current family home hadn’t even gone on the market and was already sold too. So yeah, things are moving pretty fast.

fk me, I've read some bks on PH but that takes the biscuit.

Having built a business that's earnt you millions, you're off because you've got a 'little bit more' rofl but think the country has turned socialist and won't let businesses grow?

Then, to cap it, you're going somewhere where 'everyone pays their way' - yeah, especially the slave labourers and 2nd tier underclass serving the Emirati and rich westerners.

I'm some way to the right of centre, but that is utterly crass.
You obviously can’t read that well then can you?
I said I’m all for people that have a little bit more should pay a bit more. So I don’t know what point you’re making there.
And yes, this government does not reward hard work, they tax it to within an inch of you being profitable.
Allow me to explain my ‘crassness’!
I pay 25% in CT, I have enormous PAYE bills, VAT is VAT so therefore I don’t really count that as it’s just a pass on charge. My staff demand more money every 6-12 months because of the cost of living, yet their performance and attitude slips constantly. The reason for this, pandemic. Everyone wants flexi time because that’s how it was during Covid. I deal with businesses everyday that say that they can’t continue to trade because their bills have doubled if not trebled since 2020.
Crime is rising at such a rate that if I can move my two young daughters out to a safer country then I will do.
My HR director stole over £50k from me over the course of two years and she was caught 3 years ago. We are trying to move forward with prosecution but the police aren’t really that interested. Yet she has tried to take us to tribunal for unfair dismissal, something that the tribunal courts were taking serious!!!
I’m having to pay 200% council tax on my house that I’m trying to renovate because I’m not living in it. The reason I’m not living in it is because the council are too slow to even look at my planning, and as much as I try and talk to them or get a meeting with them, I get shut down, why? Because they mostly work from home now due to hybrid working.
I listen to people talk constantly about how hard it is for them to live a normal life due to the living cost growing at an exponential rate, yet I can go to Italy or France and get a breakfast for under a fiver.
BOE Interest rates have to get to around 7% for them to get back to some normality, yet in doing that they will strangle the average working family, millions of people will not be able to pay their mortgages and banks will fall. Then there’ll be another government bailout, so what then?
The government prints more money and we get what? Hyperinflation. Next thing you know we are heading the same way as Zimbabwe (hyperbole I know but you get the point).
So basically all I’m saying is that the government is a joke and is run by clowns, the only way they know how to get out of debt is to tax people more. They can’t tax the average working person anymore so what then? They privatise the NHS and anything else they can think of, which in turn strangles people even more.
So before you start thinking I’m moving away because I have ‘a little bit more’, which is totally out of context to what I said. Maybe have a think about the real reason why I’m moving, which is to go somewhere where things are a lot more equal than over here.
And a good day to you too sir.

So are you exiting the business, or will you still have all those headaches anyway? smile
No I’ll still be in the business but it’ll just be a different way of running it. I was with a lot of the suppliers at Wimbledon yesterday, we was talking about what we will be doing moving forward. My main goal is to make sure that the consumer is paying less for their energy year on year, something we as a collective will be taking to the government.
