The restaurant looked fantastic on Saturday btw. We had a coffee and a trip to the bakery then headed home. Unfortunately missed the Buggati and your LFA.
Thanks, its getting there. Completely booked up until mid September and we’re not even open yet!!!
Already been in the press twice and we’ve not even served one customer haha

What's the story behind this then? Who owned it from new and why didn't it get registered? Someone banking on the value going up?
Was the salesman driving it around on trade plates then?
fk knows!!! I just buy the things haha.
Yeah it was on trade plates. It only landed at Wilmslow this morning

Your car buying habits really are the stuff of dreams. Fair play to you.
Also, I love the fact you took the wee abarth to collect the TDF. Top marks for that!

Congrats on the delivery of the TDF it looks stunning and what a sound!

One odd question though.. Why was the sales guy driving it around and not you?
Ah because he’s never driven one before and I told him that he could get the first drive and he could take it for the weekend so him and his wife can take it to the lakes. It’s only fair as he worked so hard on the deal.
You're a good person. I imagine many people would just view it as "oh, well he's only doing his job" and be happy leaving it at that. It's really good to see someone really appreciating and rewarding someone for doing their job particularly well.

Another DBS leak https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/aston-...

Did you buy one of these as well as the Zagato?

Keep up the good work, I'm enjoying living vicariously through a random chap on the internet!

Wish I could say the same.
It's a great thread and the OP seems like a decent chap but the level of kissassery on this thread frequently makes me cringe. Also, it makes me sad for numerous reasons, not least that I am a poor person. Still, I can't help but come back to see what shiny thing has been purchased each week (or day)!

I think the wild clambering to ask for passenger rides in new purchases is a bit too much. I'm just enjoying being part of the thread and frequently being amazed by the new cars.

Now for my own slice of ass-kissing. Pete, could you accept my Insta request to follow you please? I sent you one the other day but didn't announce it so you probably binned it hehe Username is the same as on here. Hope you are able to make the most of the great weather... These are the days supercars are made for.

This thread is verging on "2MC is this your LFA?" Good thread but people need to drop it down a notch.

Brilliant thread.

Out of curiosity do you have any interest in collecting "normal" lower value but iconic cars, such as the recent thread here on the £16k Vauxhall Nova SR for example? Or fast fords / cosworths?

TBH I haven't seen or read any 'kissassery' just a lot of admiration for someone who's not let his success go to his head. Someone who freely admits that out of all his toys his favourite is a Fiat 500.

This part is not 'kissassery' but a brief summary of my thoughts about someone I don't know, but have a hell of a lot of respect for:-

Leaves school with next to no qualifications.
Starts work for multinational power company.
See's an opportunity to compete and starts his own company, working 2 part time jobs to support himself during the start up process.
Company does well, and uses profits to buy houses, giving tenants December rent free as a Xmas present.
Profit from houses buys cars.
In the middle of this suffers from a brain tumor.

I'm sure I've missed out loads, but the one thing that will always stick in my mind is when Pete offered a fellow PHer the opportunity to rev the nuts off one of his cars on the condition that said PHer passed the favour on, just something as simple as having a cup of tea and a chat with an elderly neighbour.

Oh, not to mention the amount of charity work and monies raised.

Now, if that's me being a kissass then so be it. Tell you what I'll go one step further.....How do I nominate Pete for a knighthood for the recognition he deserves for all of his charity work.

If you read this Pete, eff off I'm not after a free ride laugh

I understood the above to be true based on this thread and obviously have no reason to doubt Pete based on other PHers having met him and confirming what a sound guy he is

Hi guys
Thanks for all the nice comments, and also thanks for the other comments. It’s good that there’s a mix of people views on here. It’d be boring if everyone thought I was just a nice guy, opinions make for good conversations.
Honestly I’m not bothered what people think about me. I know I’m a half decent lad that tries to do right by others, but I also don’t need to prove this.
I’ve met a few PH’ers on here like Shane who I’ll happily spend my free time talking car crap with because he’s a sound guy with no hidden agendas, he just likes cars.
Maybe this thread has become too personalised and should finish. I’m happy to talk to people on Instagram.
All I wanted to do is share my cars with fellow petrolheads and hopefully treat some of you to rides out and general insight into Supercar ownership.
It’s nothing to do with how much money I’ve got, what house I live in (pretty standard house in comparison), what I do, how I do it, etc etc.
It was always meant to be about the cars.
So I’ll be signing off now, no I’m not a snowflake nor am I crying about it. I just feel like it’s ran it’s course.
Fantastic chatting to you all, the positivity and enthusiasm on here is unparalleled.
Giblet and Carlos, are you guys free next week or the week after. I promised you guys a day out in the LFA & CGT and I’ve been waiting for better weather. Now that weather is here I think it’s about time to shoot a new video with you guys as the guest appearances.
Raining Sulphur, you definitely need a blast out in the Biposto as I think you love that more than I do haha, get in touch and we’ll organise a day pronto.
Thanks for everything guys.
Ciao
Pete

I'm not doubting or arguing that. My comment was that, in apparent defence following another post, you said you'd list your thoughts about the OP, but you actually just listed facts we already know.

This. How about I donate £50 to a charity of your choice Pete to keep this going?!
