Love it, just careful it doesn't have any other Christine like qualities!

Haha, well as long as they look after you then it is all good. Don't imagine we have anything that would tempt you at the moment hehe although we do occasionally get a special/interesting Ford through and I do love dealing with those.
I don’t know where you work so I can’t comment on that. Put in a link on here please and I’ll take a look.

Have you got a GT40 Pete? Either original or mk2? Cant remember from the previous thread.

If not, is it something you'd like? I see Doug Demuro (youtube) just got one and loves it.

(P.s. I love his style, humble and passionate, not a usual youtuber)
No I don’t have a GT40 although it’s on my bucket list.

It’s very easy to rotate photos on your phone
Click edit on the top right then hit the square next to cancel on the bottom left then turn it around and save
Love the dog in Ferrari pic! Legend.
I do that but they still come out upside down, I think it’s my phone. It’s an old iPhone 5. I’m not prepared to spend £1000 on an iPhone 10. I’m not made of money haha

Hey Pete,

The website sounds like a great idea. I work in IT and have experience with creating websites so if you want any help with getting what you want over to the guys creating it then happy to put some of my time in as it's for a good cause.

Any luck on a Zonda yet as I know you were looking for a good example of one.
THAT would be amazing.
The web developers I talk to just can’t ‘get’ what I’m after.
I’m after a Petrolicious style website, that’s amazing.

Nothing on the Zonda yet, Abs (Zondaboy) has got a yellow one for me but I’m really after a silver, blue or red one. And it has to definitely be an F, oh and rhd. I’m not asking too much am I?? Hahaha

Back from my holiday, caught up on the thread and your most recent video. Great work, you made Josh very happy!

All joking aside even something like a 7 or 8 will be a big jump up from a 5. I had a battered 6S which I replaced with a X last year and the video quality is so much better. I guess you have a full team of people for your videos now but worth making the switch even if it’s just for everyday pics and videos of your kid etc.

Does the MC12 not tempt you? They have a certain aura about them. JCT600 Leeds had one on display last year, I went down one evening to stare it whilst stood outside, the security guard wasn’t pleased!

Thank you so much for your reply even though you get so many messages and emails. Because of your fan mail and workload I guess you have to have 2manybars and tabs on your computer and phone screens to get through them all.

Very exciting future ahead and I'm really looking forward to your upcoming website, video content and everything else. I'm also really thankful for the invite as a spectator to your events. I'm your biggest supporter anyway.

How about the 'The Car Hunter' as a title for one of your online programmes? (unless you've already thought of it).

The museum plans sound marvellous. There's the Natural History Museum but maybe your museum should be called The Natural Aspiratory Museum since you like your cars NA.

With a dad like you I'm sure your daughter won't ever take anything for granted and will be more than capable of taking over the reigns and running the show. She might turn out to be more of a petrolhead than you. By the way, boxing and ballet go hand in hand (float like a butterfly sting like a bee).

Hope your father gets better. Someone very close to me had Alzheimer's. I can only empathise. Some good friends of mine (who are also supercar nuts) are doing great work helping people with dementia.

I'm sure Parea will become a proper Michelin star (or tyre in your case) restaurant.

Late congrats on tying the knot. Nice wedding pics of you with the DB5 and nice kilt too (suits you Sir). I thought it was Sean Connery at first but you are a bigger hero than James Bond and much more suave and debonair. Enjoy the honeymoon (and hoon if you get a chance) and have a wonderful and much deserved brake (see what I did there?).

Will be back in touch in December. All the best.

Just spent a few hours reading the thread from start to finish, great stuff. Thanks for sharing the experience of buying and owning these cars Pete, a world a lot of us don't get to experience, so great to hear it from the perspective of a normal bloke!

The logistics of it all are what interest me the most.

You've mentioned you have a woman who deals with all the paperwork side of the cars, tax, service, mot etc. But do you have more people dedicated to looking after your fleet? Personal mechanics for the simple stuff? Or just someone to make sure every car gets a run out every so often to keep them running right?

Also, I love the stories you've told about buying cars in unusual situations, choosing a 599GTO whilst collecting a 355 and eating Subway whilst speccing a new Ferrari.

Do you have any other stories on purchasing cars in unusual circumstances? Ie. sitting on your phone at night, or on the bog and purchasing a couple hundred grand car. Would love to hear more.

Cheers!

A truly amazing an inspirational thread, just like your LFA one. A serious question if I may. Is the GT40 a rather small area to occupy as, and I am not being rude in any way, you appear to be a well built company director! I promise I am not being rude!!!! smile

I'll send you a DM this morning. Will probably require a 30/60 min phone call then I can try and put something together for you to hand to your team or equally I'll try chat to them with you?

As for the F I don't think you're asking much I personally would get a blue as I think it's a stunning colour. I can't believe there aren't that many out there.

Might be slightly off topic, and feel free to not answer.. But something I've wondered with supercar owners, and you seem an honest man.

How do you 'pay' for these cars?

Not your job/money, but is it a bank transfer? Do you have to warn the bank you're about to transfer £300k, and then £200k the next day etc? Surely no debit card has the ability to spend that money..

Great collection, and glad you're back on PH.

The lady does all that stuff for me, the complete package. All the cars go to the proper dealers and get worked on by trained professionals.

Yeah I’ve got more stories like that.
Heads a bit fuzzy today as it’s my birthday so went out last night and had a few drinks. I don’t drink so it’s a shock to the system. Will answer this in a few days when I can think and remember a bit better haha

I know, it’s fine. I am a big lad. 6ft 2in, 16 stone, 46 in chest, weird simian body too, long legs and arms. That’s why I was a pretty decent boxer when I was younger, arms like Mr. Tickles. Always been this height since I was about 15.
I can actually fit in most cars without a problem, I can even fit in the Valkyrie!!!
At the moment I’m having my down time where I put the weight on to get my strength up then I’ll strip. So I know you’re not being rude, I’m a fat c*nt currently haha.

I bank with Coutts so yeah I can ring them up and transfer however much I want to and it’ll be in their account within an hour or two.

I pay for all my cars apart from the Ferrari’s as I always use their Ferrari Financial Services as it gives you extra points on their moda system, this in turn puts extra ticks against my name which puts me higher up their rankings. It’s annoying as st because I’ve got the money to buy them outright but have to take their finance.
I also get extra points by going to every event, race and cause. I do all their race programs like the Pilota Corsa. Subscribe to their magazines, etc etc.
