Speakers in a boxster

Just acquired my first boxster a 97 2.5. Has anyone upgraded the speakers in the car as they dont sound too good or can anyone reccommend where to put an additional set to improve the overall sound quality. i have a top notch stereo so no problems there. Also can someone tell me what number my porsche is???? Sorry im new!
