I have just got back from a week's camping in France with the Boxster (they really are that practical - and enough room to bring back a case of wine )

My Boxster S is a daily driver (52k in just over 3 years) so you start to take its performance for granted. You also get so used to seeing other Boxsters and 911's around that you sometimes forget that what you drive is pretty special. But France is the perfect place to go and remind yourself. The number of people stopping, taking photo's and fathers pointing out the car to their children was amazing. But best of all are the roads, they are so empty, so many opportunities for fun! The only radar traps I saw where on the autoroute in Belgium, just after the customs booths and one on a main road through a village, where the 50km/h was a reasonable speed limit. It is a shame the roads aren't in as good condition as you would hope. I was worrying about my suspension and steering for half the week! But of course the Boxster didn't miss a beat.

Anyway - thanks to the Blue 911 that waved somewhere near Rethel last Thursday lunchtime! And also thanks to the chap in MAC13, the Maclaren F1 that was on my Eurotunnel train last night - you really made the end of my holiday!
