'89 Porsche 944 2.7

Just bought an immaculate 944 2.7 - and now can't stop driving it ... the only gripe is the gearchange which is quite long - I was wondering is there any quickshift kits you can buy - I know a friend of mine who owns a 914 has had one fitted and it totally transformed his driving experience.

Also, can the 2.7 be fitted with an upgraded ECU - like an autothority chip? I know there's one available in the US - but not sure how compatible they are with euro and UK models ...

Any help would be gratefully appreciated
