Here's a reply I've given on a previous thread asking the same thing

I wouldn't worry about the next service for now but do the following:
1. Check every hose and jubilee clip. Do you see any rust on the clips or ageing of the hoses. If they are original you will
2. Is the pipe which routes round the cam cover rusty.
3. Is there signs of scale on the oil cooler where the body mates with the conical ends ?
4. Remove the air box are the belts frayed. Any sign of reinforcing means they need replacing
5. Are the brake disks rusty and scored. If so will more than likely need replacing
6. Are shocks original, leaking or rusted
7. Is there any weeping from any of the oil pipes?
8. Can you get it into reverse easily.
9.Does the radiator look new or original?
10. Do the fuel hoses high pressure and low pressure have any cracks
11. Is the chassis in the vicinity of the cats heavily corroded
I'll probably think of more. But those are your primary indicators.

Fault code E is the fuel level sensor.
You'll find all the fault codes here.

Is this normal?
Looking at buying a mrk1 Tuscan but have found the dash pod rattles quite a lot and the leather trim has come away from alloy pod.
Is this normal?
Is it a problem?
Is it easy to fix?
Cheers for any help
The screws holding the pod to the steering column can work loose over time causing it to rattle about. I replaced my column a while back and since the pod was refitted and tightened up properly it has been a lot better. The early pod cowlings didn't fit very well at all so it's hard to keep the top piece in place. Glue/silicone is the easiest way, if not necessarily the neatest. Think ive even seen it mentioned by someone that velcro or hook and loop is useful as you can still take it on and off rather than going down the glue path.m4tti said:

In a fit of pique, I really studied how the cowl was held into the alloy surround. Came to the conclusion that a plastic 'tang' on the top of the cowl had broken at some point.
My 'fix' was to get a piece of 2mm ali ...about 6mm wide and 20mm long and screw this to the cowl at the top, so that it located under the alloy surround - to replace the 'tang'. Then, I got some self adhesive Velcro tape (19mm wide ?) and carefully stuck that onto the 'tight radius' corners of the cowl and the eye bit of Velcro onto the corresponding edge of the alloy surround. I was careful to ensure the Velcro was hidden. Been like that for a good 12 months now and hasn't budged. I've had the cowls off at some stage too.

I carbon skinned my cowling so built up the lip again and it's attached with black adhesive that doesn't show against the carbon.Top cowling/cover tended to work its way loose from the alloy surround of the pod. Tried glue etc. etc. but didn't work.
