The speed six engine is a nice looking piece of kit. Why hide it under a sealed bonnet, after all half the fun is showing your mates the engine. How difficult would it be to convert the bonnet to conventional opening, and has anyone done it ?

A lot of people do have interest in things mechanical, including the majority of my friends. I wouldn't say they get excited, but they admire the engineering, which to me is part of the interest in the ownership of unusual cars. Judging by the vigorous defence of TVR's own engine on this website it seems a lot of owners are similarly inclined. Can we assume you don't care who's product is under the bonnet ?
