Gentlemen, I am thinking about chopping in the chim against a Tuscan. I have been offered a good part/ex for my car against a used Tuscan from a TVR dealer. Question is, what age car should I go for to avoid problems? I understand that there have been various suspension tweaks/modifications to date and therefore handling with the 18" rims has improved over the production life. The cars I am considering are W-Y reg, but I'd like to get the best car for the least money (who wouldn't). I know all about the finger followers, roof catches and door release buttons - but what else is there to consider? Also, what experiences have fellow owners had with moving their insurance off a Chim onto to a Tuscan - any significant differences? All advice gratefull received. Tnanks..

Thanks for the reply chaps.

My memory is failing, perhaps someone can help? I remember that around the beginning of 2001 (?) TVR hiked the price of the Tuscan from £40K to £48K. If a £40K car was already on order, you could have it, otherwise it was only a super-dooper Tuscan with DAB you could spec. Remind me, what did these £48K cars have on them as standard - where they all RR spec, 18" wheels, DAB? I cannot remember much about it - but where are all these cars now (Pre Tuscan S for sure).
