Cerbera speed six - all doom and gloom?
Discussion
Over the past weeks and months there have been numerous posts 'questioning' the reliability of the speed six engine in its various guises - particularly in the cerbera speed six. Are things really that bad and why is it that the cerbera speed six comes under such heavy criticism - heavier criticism than say early tuscans with a similiar (same?) 4.0l six engine?
Nearly everyone on here suggests avoiding cerb speed sixes like the plague - citing early 4.2s or even 4.5s at a similar price as a better bet.
What is it that makes these engines go 'pop?'
Also, does anyone know how roughly how many cerb 6s there are on the road?
