DIY ceramic exhaust coating update
Discussion
Well, finally got everything blasted and just finished painting it. I'm worried now that I might not have put enough on. The guy at RaceStuff said it only needed a thin coat, the instructions do say it must only be applied in a single thin coat and not to apply a second coat under any circumstances, but I only needed about 2Oz of paint for both manifolds and the Y piece. I expected to use two or three times that much, but this stuff is really really thin, almost like water. It looks smart and hopefully it'll prevent corrosion for a while, but I do wonder how effective such a thin coat could be at keeping the heat in.
