I sympathise. Had a bloke drive into the back of mine a couple of months back and drive off. Lots of unpleasant people out there. Hope you can find a good body shop and get it all sorted out.
Thanks John..

That must have bee frustrating, so many uninsured drivers on the roads..
Am contemplating having some CCTV put in. I would seriously consider cutting off the hands of the scum who did this....

Same happened to me last year .....some pissed scum bag ran up the bonnet and over the roof of my Wife 's X3 and then over the bonnet and roof of my Honda.......the Aston was in the garage ........lots of damage which was fixed by a very skilful " no paint dent remover" guy for £200.........the estimate from traditional paint shops was £1800 for the 2 cars
Nightmare... I cant imagine what these idits are thinking?? Why is is that they never fall and break a leg when car jumping and get caught...

I dont think that my damage will be so cheap to sort out, they have even gone across the headlights... all round the car, really deep scratches.

I will take some pictures of it later when I stop feeling so sick! Cant even bare to look at it...

That's awful. Jealous, mindless scum!

On the upside... After the body shop have worked their magic, and you've got your new wheels and other bits, it'll be like a new car.

Sorry to hear about that though.
I suppose, but its taken the shine off those plans for now... Constantly going to be paranoid from now on, maybe il chain the 2 rotties to it at night...

I have not had the greatest luck with this car from day one!!

Definatley a car cover, I was planning on getting one of those for the winter, but thats going to be hassle every time I use the car..

Gonna move in the near future, new house must have secure double garage to keep the car in or a longer drive away from the road.

Gonna be at the window all night tonight I know it!!!

The other thing is I have a really nice Nissan Navara on the drive too and not a single scratch!!!

I really do hope that the dick who did it suffers in some way olong the line, I know if I had caught them it would have got messy... I had my 911 on the drive for over a year and nothing ever happened to that...

Lets hope that some CCTV cameras help deter any future attacks.

Also, does anyone know if the headlights lens is a cover or a whole unit? coz they scratched those up as well

Car will probably be off the road for 2-3 weeks and come back looking even better...

And again thanks for all your comments.....

Absolutely gutted for you. Hope that you get it sorted quickly and it doesn't taint your ownership too much.

I looked at your profile when you started the wheel thread and it crossed my mind then how exposed the car was being so close to the street. Take my word for it though, getting cctv is the thin end of the wedge. If you're not very careful worry will take over your life and before you know it you'll hate everything here and be on a plane abroad.

Which part of the UK are you based?
I'm based in Berkshire

I know what you mean being so close to the road, I do tuck it right up to the house, so a good 1.5 meters away from the pavement... And like I said, no one has ever touched any of my previous cars...

I have to just put this down to a one off, maybe a pi$$ed up straggler,,, God knows.... But I suppose the one thing is that it can be fixed and in a few weeks will be looing sleeker than ever!! But hope it doesnt attract more attention...

Everyone on here has hit the nail on the head... Jelous attack and cant put me off having nice stuff..

The pics I put on here werent the before pics I had in mind regards to the wheels, suspension & other bits...

Slightly off-topic.

Many years ago I dated an ex-model. Not sure how to describe her. If you've ever heard of Laetitia Casta, well, my girl was like her better looking younger sister.

Anyway, once we were in a bar. I went to the loo. Some guy hits on her, she's cool, happens all the time. I walk back, she squeezes my hand. Matey boy leans over to me and says 'sorry fella, did not realise she was with you, should have known she'd not be alone, have a good evening, no offence'.

Another time, different bar, different situation. Ends up with matey boy being somewhat rude and then carried out by the security staff.

Some people covet, others seek to destroy what they cannot have.

You get to drive the V8 and the fool who did this will never have that pleasure. Fix the car up as good as new, maybe invest in a gate. But remember that you're simply better than this fool. Not because you can afford the car (money is irrelevant) but because you're not a destroyer.
Chin up!
I wouldnt say that was off topic at all... Excellent comparrison...

Its funny when you think about how some peoples minds work..
Stupid thing is I have had in the past a couple of youngsters knock on the door and ask if its ok to look at the car?? a bit odd at 1st I thought but hey ho.. I probably would have seen them out the window and taken one look at them in theyre hoodies and assumed the worst and steamed out side. But as they knocked and were nice polite lads they both got a turn in the passanger seat round the block....

The cars off today to a friends unit, who has kindly offered to keep the car there and then drop it off to the guys at the body shop when they call for it. So out of sight out of mind, im going to forget this happend and just wait for the finished product to be dropped back.

Please, what ever you do DON'T take it to the Aston Approved Bodyshop in Berkshire. No naming and shaming but its in the town famous for "The Office"

Had the misfortune of having mine sent their to repair bonnet damage. Took way too long to fix, lied about time scales, and I had to send it back 3 times due to shocking 'orange peel' effect.
Thanks for that... Its being taken to a paint shop in Slough but not the Aston approved one... A specialist indi, the guys there are fantastic...

I could do without any further nightmares.... LOL...

What is their plan of action? Full respray or some specialist service as above that can be done for a few hundred quid?
No I think this is going to be a full respray!! The scratches are so deep, like they used a knife or something...

I know everything has been said, but i just cannot no matter how i try, get inside these brain dead morons heads. Why o why, when they see a thing of beauty do they want to damage it? If i see a stunning looking girl with an ugly lump of a bloke, i might think how the hell did he pull her?, but i wouldnt want to go over and carve her face up. Same with a car, i might see a spoiled brat of a bloke getting into a great car that i know daddy paid for, but i wouldnt want to damage it, just admire the car. Sorry, i know i am rambling a bit but i just dont understand their mind set. I am furious for you. Hope you get it sorted. Just to let you know that not all scum bags get away with it. My son had his little MX5 written off by a couple of srotes who ran into the back of him then bailed. They picked on the wrong guy. My son and hispassenger mate both work on the doors. They chased and caught them, gave them a good hiding then phoned the feds who arrested them. No insurance, driving licence etc. At least they got a good slap.
Sounds like justice was served.... I would have loved to have caught them...
But knowing my luck they would have fallen over and broke a finger nail and sewed me... Or I would have caught them and done something silly...

I have to back away sometimes in heated situations as it gets out of hand and end up on the wrong side of the PC law...

I have taken comfort knowing that they are scummy tossers who will never excell in life and they will probably end up in prison or dead from heroin OD, or someone at some point will catch them in the act and teach them some manors...

Thats an interesting user name?? Any pest control links??

Burntout, In answer to your question re pest control. I am a falconer and hunt with my two hawks, and have done for many years. One of the birds is 17yrs and the other is 19yrs old. I also take my ferrets out to work with one of my hawks. I also shoot and fish, so basically if its got a pulse me or my menagerie want to kill or eat it. Verminator is my handle in my Harley club. They know me well.
Cool, We have a few sites that could use you and your birds... As for harleys, my dad is a fanatic, he has a heritage soft tail springer and the Jack danials old show bike, springer also.... nicest looking harley i ever seen..... And I had a buell a while ago XB9 Lightening.... A very nice bike, stage 2, was far better handling than any of my previous jap bikes...

I may return to 2 wheels again at some point.... Maybe if the ol man will sell his JD bike??? would keep that forever.....
