Whoo hoo, have just ordered some new stainless steel, equal length downpipes for the FTO.
Should arrive between the 15th and 21st
So then peeps what ya recon?
What am I looking at?
3-4bhp gain + a more natural V6 noise?

I'd be interested in the difference as well.

Im presuming you already have decat, stainless exhuast ?

I was thinking of putting a new downpipe on my car, they cost £270 tho...not sure if its really worth it on my auto - lol.

be very careful in which you choose.
generally i'd recommend Camskill for FTO/GTO bits, but there downpipes are unequal.
Mongoose is doing the ones i've just ordered and they are almost (within 5cm MAX as good as is possible in the space) equal length.
This is very important in both noise and performance changes

Just the thought of an even better sounding FTO is making me dribble...

fingers crossed mate.
making the induction kit pipework from Alu tubing @ the same time, so the induction sound should be better too....

guess what came yesterday ....
brilliant quality, fits like a glove.
makes the car sound like a V6 and much deeper...
so much more torque at the low revs, really pulls like a train....
also makes the Mivec kick harder....
bet there's a few more db's now too...

just a quick update.
go under her (in our pit @ home)
basically the bumper is now fused into the bumper iron, and the numberplate/lights are mush.
The exhaust was pushed so hard forwards its pulled some of the hangers round and snapped a rubber mount...
also has pushed a flange up @ the de-cat pipe and the exhaust is now slightly blowing.
the guy was a domino's pizza delivery guy who was looking the other way when he hit me @ the pedestrian crossing.
luckily the old lady i had stopped for had almost crossed when i saw him coming so i released the brakes and he just punted me forwards
have got to sort out the insurance now....
pain in the arse.
