I wouldn't mind going on one of these courses, but having just spent a fortune on new SO2 PPs I don't really want to shag them. Just how bad are these things on tyres? Presumably The Wetter the Better is less wearing?
Cheers.

Yeah your tyres do take a bit of abuse. I reckoned I lost 1-2mm of tread on my S02's but they are the same set I've had for 12k miles and there's still a couple of thousand miles (3mm) left in them. The wet reduces the wear but it really depends how much of a hooligan you are and if you let Don spend too much time powersliding ;-) Apparently they've resurfaced large parts of Bruntingthorpe lately so it's kinder on tyres.

Have to say that I was amazed by the amount of grip I was getting from the S02's on a soaking wet surface. Fyi I'd inflated my tyres by 4psi (15%) more than normal road use for the day.

The cost of the day was £395 - which for 6 hours (we skipped lunch on the day I went 'cos the pub was busy) is pretty good value.
