Tyre choice..?

13k (6mths) in and the fronts are ****ed on my S3 
, shoulders are bare and middles are down to the markers. Running on 040's (factory fit), mostly MW driving, however I do drive it hard on every oppertunity 
So whats next....money not the biggest issue, its performance/grip (040's not great in the wet!) and wear that are my biggest issues.
A little research has suggested EagleF1s, Toyo's or SO3's, but is anybody running them?
