RS4 -Doing The Deal
Discussion
I'd be very grateful for your advice on buying an RS4 Avant.
After much deliberation (only about 12 months)I have decided that the time has come to put my hand in my pocket and actually buy one. I have a budget of £35k and want the peace of mind a dealer can offer. There appears to be plenty of choice at this price point but my question is what should I actually be paying?
I'm crap at haggling as I'm usually so excited all sense goes out of the window and I'm seduced by the sales BS.
Is there a massive margin on these things or can you walk away with much of a discount on a £35k car? It is a cash purchase, no p/x.
A few friends and workmates claim to have had good discounts as it was "end of the year/quarter/month" and the stock needed shifting. Is this really a factor, or more of an urban myth?
I realise that if you don't ask, you don't get but I'd be grateful for your advice.
Many Thanks,
Jim
