I thought I would start a new thread for all the cool non technic LEGO that's about.

Starting tomorrow is free polybags with the Mail at WHSmiths, (note Sunday is a voucher, you need 2, one this week one next, with pickup at toys are us for a chima thing)

All participating stores should also have Series 11 minifigures in stock ready for the event.

Also, the Sydney Opera House (£250) and Ewok Village (£200) are available now for VIP members before the general release on 1st September.

Must resist the opera house. It's been a big month with the purchase of the crane, standard crawler, special edition crawler and BTTF Delorian.

Sell the SE crawler and it should pay for the opera house.

I remember some of those from growing up. Do you know what the sets are called? Specifically, the white with blue set in the middle left, and the black with green at the far left? One of the sets, I think the white and blue one, had a spaceship which could split in the middle so it was two spaceships.

John Lewis have some pretty good deals.

http://www.johnlewis.com/lego-the-hobbit-escape-fr...

£13.99 instead of £24.99. I just received one of these from Amazon for this price but the cheapest they have at the moment is £23.99.

http://www.johnlewis.com/lego-the-hobbit-attack-of...

£24.99 instead of £49.99. Sometimes available at around £35, but half price is a good deal if you are after one.

These are £10 each usually £14.99 each.

Other offers are probably listed as well.

Yup, supermarkets - if your local stocks it - are great for Lego. Sainsbury's last week had Iron Man stuff half price.

I only usually bother with mini-figs I'm keen on, but felt like a surprise biggrin

ETA: ha! background has the free stuff from this week, Police 'copter visible. Already built the Lone Ranger and Star Wars fighter. biggrin
I quite like all series 11, the pretzel girl is a bit boring, but goes with the pretzel guy from a while ago so fair enough.

I have all the free ones except the friends ones, got a few of most.
Only built the first 2 of the 4 though.

Found a cheap supply of Ironman 4529 as well biggrin, around £40 on Amazon inc delivery, I found it on sale below retail, so have one to build and one to save.

keep an eye on tesco direct, they sometimes drop the good stuff ie star wars etc to half price.
Ive had some good buys there, pays to call in a local store now and again.

The postman brought this today. I've been after this set for a while to go with all the castles I've got. I only got back into Lego 3 or 4 months ago after 20 years off and have spent far too much on Ebay getting a good collection of Star Wars, castles and towns. My two kids love it.
