1967 911S distributor - anyone got one?

I was out with a friend of mine a couple of weekends back, driving his 67 911S. Then it broke down suddenly after a few hours of spirited driving.
It seems a replacement distributor is required and he's desperately trying to source one. Anyone have any leads, so to speak? Bosch don't make them anymore, and Porsche is apparently asking a ridiculous price. Bosch number is 0 231 159 002, and it should be specific for the S motor upto 1968.
