I know there's a new noise limit of 114DB this year for British GT, but seriously, do the cars have to be quite that quiet? I thoroughly enjoyed the race today, but an element was missing. I like noisy racing cars. I like noise I can feel as well as hear. The Ultima had a good stab at it, as did a couple of GT3 Ferrari's, but the rest of them were far too quiet.

Yup, annoying, isn't it?

We thought our car was just about silent, so imagine our surprise when we were over the noise limit on Saturday morning...

You are joking? Spectating, the Mosler is one of the quieter cars out there. If you were over the limit, the Ultima was driving a horse and cart through it. Shame you had a clutch problem today, the car turned in some decent laps when it was running well

Damn clutch just wouldn't engage as Piers tried to drive out of the pits. In the end we sent him rolling off and told him not to leave pit lane if it didn't clear itself - which it did just in time...

We finally got to the bottom of our chassis and engine maladies in time for the race, so it was very frustrating. Shaun was the second quckest car on track for most of his stint though, so we're pretty happy. He set his fastest lap five minutes from the end of the race - and unlike most teams we didn't change tyres during the fuel stop.

Our fastest lap was quicker than the TVRs managed, which is good. Only the pesky Ferraris and Embassy were faster.

It's a great car and many thanks must go to Martin for lending it to us, to Shaun for all his help (and impressive pedalling) and to Stephane from Breckland for his brainwave that finally traced our handling issue.

Looking forward to Magny Cours - our car is rather lighter than the Rollcentre one...
