Buying a Lusso V12
Discussion
I'm going to be buying a GTC4 Lusso V12 soon. Is there anything I need to look out for? Is there any spec that's deemed critical? Do they come with front lift and is this commonly spec'd. I'm likely to send it to Novitec for exhaust, alloys and some carbon shortly after purchase. Oh, and will largely use this as a daily driver with an Aston DBX 707. So aim to do about 5-6k miles a year in it.
Nothing much to add other than I got one of these around a year ago and really enjoy it - take it to work, use it a lot. I've a couple cars but I use this around a third of the time.
I think lift was an option and I'd always get it to give you piece of mind. Aside from that the glass roof is nice for rear seat passengers. I think they're great value given the Puro will be 350-400 with options and the interior is a step up from an FF.

Ok, cheers - have you not felt the need to give it a proper exhaust yet? Or quite happy as is?I think lift was an option and I'd always get it to give you piece of mind. And yeah, the Puro just seems so overpriced - will depend on numbers but I suspect the resell will drop quite a lot after a year.

Lift is an option and it operates both axles. If you'e going to Novitec the car, lift is essential as Novitec springs lower the car and you'll need the lift to clear normal obstacles again.
Other options to watch out for are;
Carplay - really nice to have
Pano roof - most would prefer it but it's the pax who benefit, not the driver
Shields - most would prefer it but some actively seek a no shield car
Lots of interior carbon - lifts the cabin ambience
Upgrade HiFi - hard to retrofit so get it if you like your sounds
Semi-aniline leather - extra touch of luxury and wears/ages really nicely but not essential
Seat heating & cooling - always nice to have
Cameras (the really late cars had ADAS which is even better) - really useful as it's a big car
Good luck and please drop us some photos when you've found one.

Unlikely but are there any details/links to the full options sheet of spec + list price costs?

No price lists available (and they change every year anyway) but the supplying dealer will have the full breakdown for any specific car you find. They may quote GDPR as a reason for not sharing it but that's BS as long as the printout doesn't contain any personal details.Unlikely but are there any details/links to the full options sheet of spec + list price costs?

I've actually got hold of a full industry data spec and price list thing, which I think will really come in handy. Options are so expensive that when you're comparing two cars side by side, it's great to work out what the list price of each would have been. A few things on it look proper mental though - for example it says 'Rear privacy glass - £2,640.' Surely that can't be right?! Fixed Panoramic Roof was £11,520. It's no wonder cars quickly got to over £300k when I'm looking at this. Puro is going to be even more wild I guess.
Impressive that you managed to get hold of the price list so well done. And yes, Ferrari charges absurd money for tinting the rear windows and hatch glass.
Take a look at the pricing for CarPlay. That's also daylight robbery.
Lasso’s are great cars … you won’t go far wrong IMO …. so useable and has two personalities; very capable long distance comfortable cruiser which flies under most people’s radar, but equally capable of a hoon if you want a ‘more spirited’ drive.
I had an FF in Daytona Black with Crema … pano roof etc and loved that car, kept the car for 2yrs or so, but eventually got the itch and changed it.
Year later I bought a V12 Lusso as I missed the use-ability of the 4 seater, in Nurburgring Grey with grey alcantara.
I liked the car but preferred the spec of my FF, so kept that for 2 yrs but eventually px’d it when a new car came along.
Then I quickly realised (again) that missed it, so found a late 2019 V12 in Nero Daytona, with Crema leather, with lift, front & rear cameras, shields, automatic cruise with distance control, pano roof etc etc and snapped it up. It’s been another great car and I’ve done some great long distance trips in it such as LeMans, Spa and driven to/from a lot of race weekends as it’s easy to fit gear into it.
Great all-round car and hasn’t missed a beat in 14,000 mls and I’ve owned this one since early 2020.
Each to their own, but I have enjoyed having a black car.
It’s understated and doesn’t shout what it is compared to other cars/Ferraris … although, with a Novitec exhaust you may not just coast by under the radar quite so easily
My Purosangue is in build and delivery imminent, but I’m loathed to let the Lusso go in case I prefer the lower sporty feel Vs the higher driving position of the SUV/FUV.
Only my opinion; but think Lusso values will stay fairly stable and strong now, as the PUROSANGUE is nearer £400k (over £400k with decent options) and it sold out immediately to those who were offered one, so might be fetching overs for quite a while, making the ‘Lusso a great 4 seater option.
Good luck in finding the right car.
Ps. 7 year service pack is standard (I believe) but worth checking

Keeping an eye on this as also looking (albeit a bit vaguely).
Question - was the PTU sorted on these or will I need to budget for an upgrade, as I would on an FF?
PTUs also fail on Lussos. It’s essentially the same PTU unit as the one in the FF but Ferrari improved the cooling which allowed them to vector as much as 90% of the torque to one of the front wheels. So improved cooling but more stress placed on it…
Definitely budget a slush fund for it and the DCT speed/pressure/temp sensors and oil seals.
