Moving bathroom downstairs
Discussion
The people who owned our house previously to us moved the bathroom upstairs into the 3 rd bedroom & extended the old bathroom downstairs .
We have found that the old extended bathroom is very thin so you can’t really do anything with it , so are thinking of moving the bathroom back downstairs & reinstating the 3 rd bedroom .
I know this is the opposite of what most people would think sensible but I think it would work better for us , we not concerned about how it would effect selling the house as all the houses are downstairs bathrooms & seem to sell ok .
I’m just wondering what the cost of this would be ? There should be plumbing already downstairs as it was a bathroom previously .
Thanks

Almost at the end of a bathroom refit. Room (2.6 x 1.9) was completely gutted, including ceiling. It will end up costing just under £10k.
Fixtures, fittings and tiles, just over £3k.
Electrician and plasterer, £700
Labour, builder/plumber, £4k
Materials and waste disposal, £2k.
Materials cost was the real shocker. I sourced most of it myself in an attempt to keep control of the costs. Tile adhesive, grout and silicone sealant came to over £200, £150 for paint. Couple of hundred for waste/soil pipe/fittings.
Labour was quite reasonable, around £25 an hour for the skilled guys at their day rates.
