Let's talk about Riots!

A list of recent mindless violence and mayhem lifted from another thread:

‘On July 4th, at the election, several Muslim MPs were elected to the House of Commons after a campaign of abuse, harassment, and intimidation, displaying zero respect for our political institutions and ways of life.

On July 11th, the new Labour government announced it would release 5,000 prisoners early in September, with most having served 40% of their sentence.

On July 15th, we learned London’s Metropolitan Police had not solved a SINGLE petty crime -burglary, car theft, phone theft- in three years, across 166 areas.

On July 18th, that same day, mass rioting in minority communities broke out in Harehills after social services took four Romani children into social care.

On the same evening, rioting broke out in East London’s Bangladeshi community, following political unrest in Bangladesh, with rocks thrown at police officers and cars smashed in communities that are majority Muslim.

On July 23rd, it was announced that Anjem Choudary, Britain’s most famous Islamist, was to be sentenced for directing Islamist terror on Britain’s streets.

On the same day, a British Army Officer was repeatedly stabbed outside his home by Anthony Esan, a member of a minority community.

On July 26th, protests broke out after footage emerged of Greater Manchester Police taking action against Fahir and Amaad Amaas —two brothers who were later revealed to have severely assaulted armed officers.

On July 27th, six arrests were made after a drive-by shooting in the town of Watford.

On July 29th, reports emerged that a man had been stabbed to death, with two others injured, following a knife fight in a park in East London.

On the same day, there was the mass stabbing and murder of children in Southport.

On July 30th, a mass brawl involving machetes erupted on the streets of Southend.

....and this week we have fkwit knuckle draggers taking it to the next level.... (But providing some amusing footage of brick/nad interfaces along the way.)

All kinds of people commit all kinds of crime.

Might just be me but that seems a very selectively curated list.

Almost designed to stoke up tensions.

Seems to be a list of minorities accused of crimes with riots tagged on at the end, almost like the OP has an agenda. PH is a mess and getting worse.

Feel free to add anything I've missed and I'll add it into the OP. It certainly wasn't my intention to leave anything out and all I did was to cut and paste an off topic post from another thread becaise it seemed to provide a time line of recent Civiil Disturbance.

In fact, if you want to find a link to an article that gives a timeline of all the civil disturbances this year I'll swap it out. I googled and couldn't fine one, but I bet there is one somewhere.

Maybe the system on the side of the "good guys" is failing down to revolt of any new government policy and actions.

We need some control on immigration. But these rabbles aren’t disenfranchised because of immigration, they are disenfranchised because of their own attitudes and actions.

If we didn’t have immigrants working and paying taxes, these morons would have no one to pay their benefits or treat them in A&E after they have got into a fight.

Its not a hidden, agenda, its a bloody openly stated agenda, I want to get the off topic Riot chat off the Southport Stabbing thread.

But now on there's a riot thread, people don't want to use it to talk about Riots, they want to critique the bloody OP!

I'm gonna go and set fire to a police van. mad

Do you notice anything about who is and isn’t on your little list?

I didn't even read the list. It was one of the off topic posts polluting the Southport stabbings thread. It had a timeline of riots so I nicked it. (And said so.)

I didn't notice it barely mentioned the current riots until after I posted so I chucked an extra sentence in.

Having said that, I've reread it, removed a couple of lines and it doesn't seem a bad time line of the civil Disturbance this Summer. I am happy to add anything that's been missed if you want to suggest it.

Or maybe you could post the stuff that got missed, some links etc. Here?

I don't think that most of those events are linked, and will be random isolated incidents (it does highlight that we have crime and social problems).

I do think there is a link between the army officer stabbing and the armed police incident at Manchester airport, I have no doubt that thse would have fueled anger amongst far right groups.

Then the children being stabbed in Southport shocked the country, queue social media posts saying he was a migrant and the far right quite literally exploded with anger hence we are seeing these riots.

There is a real danger this could spread like the Mark Duggan riots in 2011.

Yep, could have been a good thread, but OP instead wants to turn us into Twitter.

You started a thread using a list you didn’t even read.

Seriously?

Well now you’ve read it what do you notice?

The list is a bad way to start it, considering almost nothing of those was a big riot before, and it’s very clear the big ones people will think of is the racist thug ones. Ironically the list labels every nationality/colour as being immigrants apart from the white thugs which is the major one.

Lots of people saying this is down to years of repressing immigration issues. I’d hazard a guess it is just as much down to years of repressing football hooligan fights. Those involved wanting to go back to fighting the police and now it’s got enough mass behind it they’re able to find enough people at once to have a good brawl and riot.

You reckon?

I'd say by intensity and volume the riots by white people have been more "rioty" this summer.
