Hi all,

We're trying to identify what type of car this is (shortly after these pictures it sideswiped another car and drove off). I'm hoping that the experts here might be able to identify it.

Sorry for the poor photo's - they're taken from a cheap CCTV camera that was in night mode.

We're fairly certain of the block the car came from but just want to have an idea of what type of car we're looking for

Thanks in advance for any help

Why are there so many of these 'identify this car' posts all of a sudden? I smell a scam and not getting involved.

No scam here I promise you - I would post the whole footage so you could see and hear the moment of impact but it's rather large.

We're just trying to identify the make and model of the car so we've got an idea of what we're looking for.

Very poor as you say, but looks like a hatchback eg Mercedes A class or Audi A3 or the like. Tear drop shaped rear light....

Hard to tell the size, but it looks like it has a black roof and coloured rear pillar, like a Corsa or A1. If it is that size, I'd go with Corsa as the bright light for the rear number plate looks like it's in the bumper.

Looks like a Corsa at first glance to me too.

Not a Corsa, look at the shape of the rear door glass window base, Corsa is angled up, the OP pics have the bottom
of the glass in a straight line, looks more like the Audi.

Yeah I don’t think it’s the Corsa.

I’m going A1 as well

How similar do the Astra and the A1 look eek

Cactus C3 was my first thought, but maybe not. Added for exclusionary purposes

Thanks all for your guesses - I'd been thinking Audi but I'm now starting to think that a Corsa or Astra may be a possibility. I'll let you know if I come across anything when having a look around the car park for the block of flats we're think it came from.
