Bonding on sideskirts
Discussion
Hi,
I've got some sideskirts colour matched for my Audi A4 to fit. The model is a "sport" so came without, I prefer the look with so am looking to fit and wanted to sense check my plan to ensure a long lasting fit.
I have some 3M VHB tape to go around the perimeter edges of the skirts and some Sikaflex 221 adhesive gun applied to use in c6 spots across the length of the skirt. I plan to clean the body and back of skirt with 3M surface cleaning wipes.
Once mounted I plan to use masking tape to hold the skirts and not drive the car for 2 days.
Any other tips or advice before I tackle? Is it worth using a head cut to warm things up pre glueing?
Cheers

Cheers, I will give it a go. Hopefully, they won't fall off...
I doubt that will happen, your main issue will be getting them lined up,you really only get 1 go,if it's misaligned and you pull it off the tape will probably need removing and replacing and the sikaflex will make a mess I'd pre fit the skirt and lay some masking tape up against the edge so you know where it's going to sit once in place properly
