Are we getting a fair deal?

How much are you paying for your TVR insurance?

What NCD do you get?

Where do you live and what difference does this make to your premiums?

I'm 39 and my Chimp 450 costs me just over £600 fully comp with 65% NCD living in Guernsey and no convictions for the last 20 years. I think this is OK but........

Edited coz I forgot to say how, er, young I am!

Just renewed mine with Sunninghill - £630, which includes ANY track day cover. It isn't too bad, IMHO, because a friend of mine is expecting his Mini Cooper S in March, and has been quoted £640!!!!

I've been with Sunninghill for the last 2 years.
No complaints although I haven't had to claim.
Only trouble is that I've just had my renewal, it's the same price as last year but doesn't include the RAC cover!
Btw, it's £711 for a Tamora ungaraged with protected no claims and unlimited mileage. Pretty good really.
Cheers..... Andrew

I'm with Sunninghill & pay the same as nubbin. I thought this was pretty damn good as no NCB due to company car - much cheaper than the competition

32 with Chimp 450, full no claims, protected, large excess, 12k a year, parked on drive in berkshire. Best quote by a long way was Direct Line at 750, beat most others by 200-500. Tackday not included. Sounds like I'm still paying too much though.

Price not helped by a knock for knock with the last car back in september. Silly woman in golf turned into me as I overtook her.

All I can say is count yourself lucky plipton, wish I still lived over in Guernsey...

I'm 28, just entered TVR ownership with a Cerbera 4.5, loving it but not the £900 insurance bill. Full NCD, but then I live in West London.. I remember the days in Guernsey paying so little for insurance

It's that London thing that does it. I've a garged S3, am 28 with 4 years NCD, 3 points for speeding but otherwise clean history, with my wife (>30) included also, although her minor prang doesn't help I guess.

£950 from Peart, and very few others can slightly close, get TVRCC track day cover included at least.

Try living in the Manchester area. £1100 with Peart for Chimaera 450, am 37 full NCB 3 points for speeding on Motorway. Just shows how much premiums increase when you live in high car crime areas!!!!

Don't remind me about the petorl and the Tax

Although I admit I couldn't live with the 35MPH anymore....

But I'm not too unhappy about the insurance as I am paying about £500 less than when I had the BMW M3 EVO!!!!!!

Same with me K-9! Called a few people when I got my 450 Chim and was staggered to find that it was cheaper to insure compared to the ...ahem... BMW 323SE which was part exchanged... which was a hugh bonus!
