I've just been up the M6 for the first time in a few months, and noticed that the SPECS cameras have been rempoved in the Jct 19 vicinity on both North and South carriageways. When and why did this happen? Were those cameras just a "dummy" system, like fake burglar alarm boxes on houses, merely acting as a visible deterrent?
Any body on here ever get a NIP from the SPECS system on the M6?

Yes thank you. The NIP arrived on Friday!

Alleged speed of 47 travelling southbound. I am livid about this as I would absolutely swear blind I was doing no more than 41 or 42 - I was aware of the cameras and taking special care. Seeing it was a SPECS system I even reset the average speed readout on my trip computer, and IIRC it indicated 43 over the entire duration of the roadworks, which I believe would be about 40mph genuine.

But unfortunately I cannot see how I can possibly defend this.
