Thanks, lads. Thought so.
Does it work on the move?
If so, does it work at night with headlights on?
Yep..works on the move and at night.....
The cars are often used on motorways...when the BiB are in lane one..and every car passing by is run through the ANPR checks...

I spotted a traffic car a while back with said pod on the roof.
Thought it was an outside-mounted speed camera....
Do trafpols have speed cameras mounted outside, or is it just ANPRs??
Just ANPR...
Any vehicle used speed cameras in patrol cars..will be hand held laser guns...
The pod on the roof is unlikely to be a camera, it is probably a large infra-red lamp for the camera, which is usually in the back window. The lamp and camera is usually mounted so that it illuminates cars passing on the right.
Because it's illuminating a reflective surface it probably works even better at night.
Until recently there were NO guidelines for dealing with cloned vehicles. Apparently a vehicle record can now be flagged as cloned and picked up by ANPR vans. Frankly if my vehicle was cloned I would pay for a new registration to be issued, no point reporting it as cloned and then getting stopped all the time and having to prove you are the clonee and not the cloner.
