Only interaction with a PCSO I have had was when one walked past as I was checking the oil level in my RX8 - she also had one and wanted to talk about RX8s.

Not quite what OP had in mind?

I simply cannot believe he's actually a "surveyor", when he (obviously) cannot string a sentence together (see the OP). How does he write reports in his alleged profession?

Christ, there's a salutory reminder to not drink and post on forums. OP you write like a pissed chippy Yoda, except that Yoda was actually quite clever.

Can't say I have

traffic officers on the motorways do seem to do a good job at freeing up police resource.

But they are not in "police" marked vehicles. This is probably where confusion is being caused (and much of it in the head of the pcso).

I see a pcso walking round our town occasionally, maybe alongside a police officer. Again, they can free up police officer time, but I've never had to interact with them.

I am not a massive fan of the blue nobs plastic police, anyone had a decent experience or are mostly cop wana be?

Had a chat with one tonight 50 year old guy in a ford ranger who didn't like me changing lanes on 3 (3 to 1 in one smooth manoeuvre) lane carriageway in the distant empty road from him without a left hand signal seemed to think it was very dangerous, I said look flower in your check drive they don't cover System of car control but in my information phase as no one could benefit and the highway code says move left when possible I moved back to lane 1 when safe, I was alright what offence do you think I committed? He didn't know!

He was moaning about speed as I left the lights fast to the limit but again PSCOs have no blues follow check speed training etc but he really had a cartman vibe. He didn't speed to catch me he caught up with me in traffic.

When I asked to see his designation card he didn't even know what his was so I said maybe you call it a powers booklet to which he said he didn't carry it! I said under the police reform act 2002 I believe you are required to have about your person on duty so you can convey and to a member of public your powers, he seemed lost at this point. I said since your unable to convey I need to get going now so if your not planning to detain me for 30 mins I shall be leaving now but thanks for the advice!

Sorry from your post and the way you write that reads that you went across three lanes in one go quite robustly? Not a problem on an empty road but not with others there. Were you in a rush?

Depending on the circumstances a Bobby could have created a S172 notice.

As for PCSOs there are some lazy ones and there are some good ones. Just like any job.

Just curious as to how this lengthy conversation happened with the PCSO? Did they stop you OP?

Or was it a 90 second chat though the open windows of your cars?

Another post by you with an issue with police. It’s definitely you that is the problem and not the police…

OP does seem to get into some scrapes. Not a good reflection considering he claims to be ex police.

Let’s clear this up. OP has never been in the Police. He can’t have been. He’s a Walt of the highest order and a complete fantasist (come to think about it, maybe he was) smile
He was probably employed by them as a st house cleaner or a civi on the main desk doing meet and greets.

His life revolves around drama. He needs help. If I was him, I’d sell my drama queen crown and put the money towards some counselling.

He is entertaining though and breaks the day up trying to read what he posts.

Yep

reported regular nuisance off road bikers where they shouldn't be (using a cemetery track to access some woods, riding dangerously on the track past OAP's/dog walkers). Couple of days later PCSO came round and took details / pictures of the bikes from me. Makes more sense than sending a full on officer for what is essentially data gathering.

the nuisance has stopped, whether that's a direct result of them catching one of them and word getting round i don't know but no issues with the PCSO.

I do hope you're right, given his tendency to get into easily avoidable drama, illiterate posts and shockingly bad grammar I find it a very poor reflection of the police if they were qualities that enabled him to get through selection. Many of his posts tend to be quite anti police too so I do wonder why he'd claim to have been in if he hasn't.
