Good job we aren’t even 1% of the way to that then.

One would have thought that going into a job trying to help the public in general might earn some of that respect but there we go.
yes I think he just saw the words ‘know it all idiot’ , thought it was job advert and mistakenly applied.

He is over qualified, if we wish to be honest about it.

OP, You may want to leave this thread til the morning, you sound drunk or very angry, you're usually a lot more lucid.
No, Just normal service
This^^^

I simply cannot believe he's actually a "surveyor", when he (obviously) cannot string a sentence together (see the OP). How does he write reports in his alleged profession?
they don't they are just RICS tick box forms that bring up standard wording and it inserts into the report or they just get the last report and change the name and address

biggrin

Being ‘job’ is a way of saying police. No idea why.

Our local one was pretty decent when I was growing up.

Managed to build a rapport with all but the most criminal of the kids on the estate, without resorting to getting angry, shouting or threatening punishment. She did it by using manners, and being appropriately authoritative, much like a teacher.

Would be decent to have someone like her on my current estate, few little buggers like to go around causing light, but inconvenient trouble.

OP does seem to get into some scrapes. Not a good reflection considering he claims to be ex police.
Let’s clear this up. OP has never been in the Police. He can’t have been. He’s a Walt of the highest order and a complete fantasist (come to think about it, maybe he was) smile
He was probably employed by them as a st house cleaner or a civi on the main desk doing meet and greets.

His life revolves around drama. He needs help. If I was him, I’d sell my drama queen crown and put the money towards some counselling.

He is entertaining though and breaks the day up trying to read what he posts.
I do hope you're right, given his tendency to get into easily avoidable drama, illiterate posts and shockingly bad grammar I find it a very poor reflection of the police if they were qualities that enabled him to get through selection. Many of his posts tend to be quite anti police too so I do wonder why he'd claim to have been in if he hasn't.
Wonder why he left?
Grew out of his uniform.

You prefer to be policed by the likes of Wayne cousins and David Carrick?

Explain to me why you would think that, because I don’t know.

Surveyor_101 is a fking liar!!

He's not and has never been a Police Officer.
Looking back at his post history over the last 10 years (I know, I need a hobby) for someone who claims to have been a "bronze incident commander", he has about as much knowledge and understanding of policing as a Day 1 PCSO.

It would be my guess that he has been subject of several investigations by A&S Police and clearly has an issue with them.

Just in this thread - you can't visually tell whether a Sgt is Acting/Temporary/Substantive.
In nearly 15yrs I have never heard the phrase "Full bird" in relation to Police ranks. It's a US term for a Colonel, because the insignia is "a bird". No UK Police Force has "a bird" in it's rank insignia.

If I'm wrong, and worryingly he was a Police Officer, he was either "asked to leave" or "chose to before being asked"

I think thread title should be changed to:
Surveyor -101 Has anyone had a positive interaction with one.

If it’s the same poster I did quite enjoy a thread he started about his transit. Either way he seems to have gone to ground.

My point is PSCOs should stick to what they are tasked and trained to do.

I haven't gone to ground.

Sorry you lost me on the thread about a transit, never owned a ford transit??

I use the term full bird sg yes I know its not a police term (Spent time working with the MOD), he said he was a sgt now (not acting) and he was/is male.

I have not been investigated by they other than they were asked to arrest me for another force which turned out to be false allegations, avon and somerset, only ever received a speeding ticket from them.

Sadly a lot of the times I have dealings with A&S they have failed miserably including the death of my father, however I am aware of 26 officers who are serving now that have convictions in job some for sexual offences.

I have Current SC and Nuclear Clearance which if I had any convictions I wouldn't be able to hold. As I have worked on MOD projects, Highways England and Border Force.

I was a bronze incident commander as I would be called to coordinate mainly traffic management but also emergency repairs for HE to get the network cleared and re-reopened following accidents and vehicle fires, that's what I BC for HE does I didn't coordinate police deployment just did HE resources or subcontractors. I was on the Maintenance and Response Contract so my firm did (under HE branding) did all the cyclitic maintenance in the southwest.

Sounds like you don't know how the Emergency Services and Highways coordinate with HE, POLICE, FIRE, AMBO etc.

Funniest incident we had in my time was over 100 dead chickens from a lorry incident near exeter jct 29!

So you're not "ex-job" then you Walt.

You worked for a different organisation.

How long ago?
Because nearly 10yrs ago you were asking about your company ordering silicone?

Oh, and you weren't "pulled over" by a Sgt, you came to a stop and the Sgt, who was in an unmarked focus approached you. For some bizarre reason, known only to you, you then immediately deleted your dashcam footage??

If you're going to lie, at least keep it consistent.

Yes.

When I was driving buses, we had a regular nut ball on 1 of the routes who was starting to get very naughty when on the bus.
Found the local pcso's phone number via Essex police website.
Called her, explained the problem, she knew who the nutball was and had 'words' with him.

He started behaving after that.

Well 4 days after starting this. It’s a pity you aren’t the Transit thread person as it was a good read.
Your posting today was much more coherent so that’s a plus. Ex Job? The bloke who washes the Police cars at the end of each shift or the cleaning lady at the station is more “Job” than you.
