Tony, in the answer that was quoted by brigadier above, you put that some of the crashes you had to attend to had speed as a significant factor...if my feeble memory serves correctly...
Question: Was the speed the significant factor in causation, or simply contributed to the carnage afterwards??? Oh, and im not plod bashin mate! Just askin..

Not a problem mate
Ive attended many RTAs by the very nature of my job and have taken on the roles of Investigator,road sweeper, fence mender and in the worst ones, Family Liason.
As a result of this i would say that some are caused by speed alone and some have been made more spectacular by the prescence of speed.
Without quoting actual events then i hope that you know what im saying and that this answers your very polite question.
(Its too early for a beer but anyway)
