Anybody know somewhere that does goggles and a leather flying hat, it seems pretty difficult to see where you are going above 80mph without?

Passengers seem to comment that it also becomes difficult to breathe above 100....

Demon tweeks. I used to get really excited when their new mags came out. Make sure you get the motorsport and road mags.

lots of fun things to buy or put on a xmas list.

Go for Bubble goggles ie skydivers ones. Much better then biggles type.

Ther is a chap on Blatchat organising a bulk buy of XL-1 goggles.
They look like sun glasses and have had rave reviews from the aeroscreen boys.

If you have the side screens on it normaly isn't a problem.

the XL-1 goggles are fantastic and you need never use sidescreens again. You can also use them as regular sunglasses when you reach your destination - only the windswept hair will give you away as a Caterham driver

XL-1 goggles with interchangeable lenses, the bees knees.

there's several companies that do leather biggles caps, that also sell goggles. one whos website escapes me just now, also has prescription lenses for those that need them for an additional charge.

supposedly you can also have XL-1's fitted with lenses...

XLs make you look at bit like Edgar Davids, that Dutch footie player though - especially with the yellow lenses...

Does anyone know where you can buy the XL-1s in the UK? I could only find US-based vendors on Google.

Barry - a guy named "Fred" in Edinburgh does a number of bulk orders every year - cost works out at circa £35 - go onto www.blatchat.com, use the search facility and type in "Wiley", choosing the "For Sale" section for starters - that ought to find you his name and then send him a mail thru the Blatchat mail option...
