Vectra 2.2 Direct Emissions Failure

Morning all,
(I've posted this on the Vectra C Forum also yesterday)
after a bit of advice, I put the car in yesterday for an MOT yesterday it failed on :-
Front Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases Flexi (6.1.2 (a))
Central Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases (6.1.2 (a))
Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b))
I had been aware that over last couple of months that the exhaust had sounded slightly louder than usual so after the garage replaced the relevant bits of the exhaust today they tried to get the car through the emissions test 3 times but it was still over but not by much (I will get the exact figures tomorrow)
I do a 95 mile round trip everyday to home and work, the garage is near my work place, so what they have done is put a cleaner in the petrol tank and want me to take it straight to them from my trip in to work tomorrow and they will test it straight away, hopefully it will pass.
I asked if they had any codes they said there was a fuel rail pressure code which they cleared. The Thermostat always goes up to just over 90 degrees in traffic but is usually sitting just over 80 so I don't think it's the thermostat.
If it fails again tomorrow and before the garage start diagnosing / replacing parts, would you have any suggestions?

Fast forward to today:-
I drove it in today like I stole it (Rev wise) and it's with the garage now, I don't usually drive hard in all the gears, but interestingly in 3rd around 4000 rpm it missed and the power backed off for a second and the same in 4th at another point. Maybe it's the the beginning of the end for my Fuel pump also? The Cars has done 160,000 an the previous owner had a continental Pump put in when his one failed so who knows.
Just waiting to hear from the garage, but I'm not hopeful.
