Astra H Locked brake caliper

Having some problems with my little Astra. It is a 2010 MK5 SRI 1.8 model with 55k miles.

I've just changed the front passenger caliper and hose, as the original caliper had jammed / wouldn't retract.

Anyway, after 100 miles of it running absolutly perfectly the new caliper has now also jammed.



I've got no idea what the problem is, the other 3 calipers are absolutly perfect.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

ABS Pump from memory used to cause issues.
Slider pins new I take it?
If you open the bleed nipple, does the brake release?

Not sure, but I've somehow managed to fix it. I backed the caliper off slightly, bled all 4 brakes and pumped the brake pedal - all seems to be well again after a test drive.

Time will tell!

Could be the brake hose. remember something about them breaking down inside and causing a blockage in one direction. Like a one way valve.
