I seem to remember they were about to start modifying their VXT, it would be interesting to know which company they use...

AMD, but they they still persist in using vauxhall for other parts, like brake pads, and whinging about how much they cost.

If the bloke reads the site like he says he does then surely he'd know that 3rd party bits are often better and much cheaper.

They're gonna use AMD according to the Long Term test.

Doesn't say much, apart from that 250bhp is available, and that they got stung for brake pads & fitting by their local VX dealer.

If they read the site properly, they'd know that it's far easier to change the pads yourself. Mind you, these arty journalist types (Sorry Ted ) might not want to damage their false nails

What do you reckon they'll do then?
The Milltek is an obvious upgrade, and I reckon they'll probably get it remapped as well (stage 2). I imagine the charge cooler is probably a step too far if they've got to give the car back to Vauxhall at some stage...

I wonder if they'll compare a modded VXT with the VXR when it's released...

I understand they are just having the exhaust done at AMD. I think Thorney knows more about it.
As for Pistonheads It's easy to use
After all it was built by and for TVR owners

They're having the exhaust and remap done.

Jethro does read the site - I sent him an e-mail about getting his car setup by Scared Stiff, and he said he'd read a lot about them on the site. However, because the car is owned by Vauxhall, there are restrictions on what they can do. That might explain why they get consumables from Vauxhall dealers. Also, part of the point of the Long Termers is to discover what the ownership experience is like...and that includes using Vauxhall dealers

VX site is back up now.

Communication error (ie human) this time, annoying and I'm making sure it doesn't happen again
