You can change the AI at each load screen if you wish to slowly up/down the difficulty.

I have found at times the AI can bit a bit pushy/sticking to defined lines when they are in-front/beside you.

This is probably one of the best racing games I've ever played. I'm having a blast with it, and I'm only 8th in the championship, 5 races in! The AI are superb, My Team mode is a great addition. I'll be playing this for a while!
100% agree, the AI is glorious compared to the rubber band opponents in GT on PS1 for those of who still remember those days smile.

I love having a side glance at the car next to me when hurtling down the straight towards the braking point, I do wish they would model clear visors so you could look into the AIs eyes.

This is me trying to send one down the 2nd Variante at Monza after they had locked up into the corner but still some how got it turned in, it didn't end well for either of us smile

Is it worth getting F1:2019 or F1:2020 for my xbox? It's been a LONG time since I played F1 games and CDKeys has F1:2019 Legends Edition (Senna/Prost) for £15.99 - The draw of being able to drive a Senna/Prost F1 car is pretty great.

What's the big difference in the games?

2019 is a great game, and worth it for the money. For me, 2020 is more than just a little update on 2019, it's very much so improved, My Team is a great addition.

Anyone else noticing the Quali practice programme is near-impossible? The delta time is far too hard a target...my team is the 8th best car on the grid, and I just topped the FP3 standings trying to beat the Quali programme but it wasn’t enough to even pass it, let alone perfect it.
I can just about pass it (albiet with the use of some flashbacks!) but can't get near perfecting it.

Thought it was just me.
Just to update. I did my first full session since the 1.05 update and was able to get the best score for the Quali programme by some margin. So it looks like they fixed it but I'll also have to turn the AI up a little bit to compensate.

No idea how F1 2019 played, but F1 2020 with a game pad is damn good. Infact I cannot remember been able to 'race' so well with a game pad on anyother game, I have a old Xbox wheel I use to play with on Forza a long time ago which from memory was easier when things got dicey mid corner, but very impressed with F1 2020.

You can have some really really good fights with the AI without been rammed off the road.

Maybe I just haven’t played any recent F1 games, but 2020 is simply great, the graphics really aren’t far off what a real camera can capture, maybe even in more detail!

Closest game I've played which bring back real life memories and emotions of watching these cars/drivers forget about death/injury when playing cat and mouse at 100mph+ through a wet Eau Rouge whilst battling for 5th place in a F2 race.......It's scary to try and recreate it in a video games - even just keeping it on the tarmac, doing it in real life takes a degree of psychosis.

I'm playing 2019 at the moment because it's on Game Pass. Finished Shanghai in 1st place by about 10 seconds, but on the results screen it demoted me to 19th, 1 lap behind everyone else confused .

Are the AI on 2020 realistic? Not just in terms on battling on track but occasionally liable to throw it in a wall and retire?

This is the first F1 game I've played since F12010...I hated that game with a passion (mainly as I was ste!).

Loving this one though! Found a nice set up with AI and assists with the PS4 controller.

Got it on Friday. F2 completed and now working my through a full F1 season with Williams.

Going for half race distance.

Need to change a few things as I qualified first in Bahrain which I can't see Williams doing! Ran out of fuel and ended last though so guess the end result is real ha.

Anybody using a Logitech G29 on PS4? Read a few reports that it doesn’t play so well due to a bug?

Just about to get one but not sure now.

Enjoying it still.

Although gone from Williams to Mercedes in the second season...would have been nice to have stayed with Williams until the end of the season.

Just started a new game with Bentley F1 using the racing green colours from the Bentley Speed 8 Le Mans winner.... looks nice.

Threw a Honda engine in and away we went to Melbourne. Finished 14th which felt realistic however I’d set the AI to 80 which I feel may be too low given my team mate fastest race time was 2 seconds off my pace on softs v the mediums I was on.

A tweak to 90 ready for Bahrain.

Does the created team replace an existing team on the grid, or does it bump up the entry to 22 cars?

I have F1 2019, and I really enjoy playing, pondering whether to get this.

Bumps it up to 22. You then get to recruit an F2 driver as a team mate. Very well executed I think.

Really tempted to get 2020 for that, can you set custom liveries and team names etc or restricted?

Sure, read above. I’ve created Bentley F1 in the Speed 8 Le Mans colours (I’ll upload a shot later). You can also tempt other existing drivers across if the car is attractive enough. Hamilton in a Bentley? No issue....
