Ohh, I’m a latecomer to this thread. I almost always end up taking better photos with my phone, despite often having either my A7, RX100 or Fuji X100 with me. Go figure.

Castle Varrich and Ben Hope this morning.
Is this from a camera phone?
I've found achieving depth in a scenic photo like this from any digital camera I have owned, impossible.

Cheviot hills in Northumberland. Not the best picture (taken with an iPhone XS Max) but given how calm and colourful the lower ground was, it seemed otherworldly up in the clouds. Nice dramatic shot with the white/grey hues.

Lovely. Yes you could imagine this was taken on a different planet entirely.

It’s off an iPhone 12. I was surprised how good it looked too.

Took this one on my Pixel 3 a couple of weeks back.

We picked up a Macan just before Christmas and I like the reflections of lights on it here.

iPhone 7 last summer. Little bugger should have moved over to the sunlight. Never work with children or animals.

UW, and all in phone post processing

Fake macro with AF on UE lens

Perfectly judged exposure and HDR, all on 'auto' modr.

These new phones are all simply a stunning bits of photography kit.
