Canon EOS D30?
Discussion
I have a D30 and love it. Yes, the focussing is slow (and almost useless in low light) but the bottom line is it can take some damn good photos.
This was the site that convinced me that the camera could take great images. It seems with digital cameras they all have a certain 'look' or 'quality' about them. It's not about megapixels!
I can't think of a better introduction to DSLRs as the D30 and it still has some features that beat the newer 300D. Unless you do lots of sports and fast action shooting, there is no other camera I would consider for this price.

If you don't mind me asking - how much and where did you get your D30 from?
I'm looking at getting a DSLR and can't really justify the cost of a 300D (£600+) and had noticed that Jessops have a few D30's on there used equipment list.
Cheers
Chris
If you get in there quickly, 300Ds can be had for 499 from PC world after you get the £100 rebate from canon.
7dayshop.com have the body only for £499, and I guess you could get the £100 rebate on top of that? Or does it not work from them?
Unboxed lens is £50 from Park Cameras and you're done for £450, if the rebate works...

I don't think 7dayshop supply UK cameras, so the rebate won't be applicable.
