Amazing pics as always Steve

Went back to the chapel again this morning, had a break in the weather and had a quick fly round and typically, just set up to do a video fly round and it started raining again, so mission aborted for today.

Local legend says it's haunted by a monk and at midnight on All Hallows Eve, he can be seen climbing a set of stairs that are clearly not there. Also, people claim to have seen a little girl running about in the ruins who then follows the monk.
Just found all your images Mr Slopes - really good and all very familiar places to me. I used to metal detect adjacent Cromer Windmill etc.
Thanks bowtie i plan on going back to the chapel at some point next year, hopefully in dry sunny weather, the walk from the nearest car park will be nice and be able to get some close up shots
Would you happen to have any images taken of the farm surrounding BYGRAVE at all?

I don't no, which one is that? Depending upon which side of the 505 it is, i'll try and get the drone up and get some shots for you
Well that is very kind of you, thanks.

If you have some time one day these marked fields would be of great interest:

Winter is coming.

No colour post-processing. Just shooting straight down through the snow.

I tried yesterday but -5 and no gloves meant the drone wasn't up for long. Batteries didn't last long either. Plan was to get the sunrise reflected in the frozen lake, but...

Haven't been able to get out for a while, few things going on at work, a couple of health hiccups and the weather has been pants to say the least.

However....today is a different story.
Roads where i went are sketchy with frost but very little traffic about on the outward leg to a water tower not too far away but the sun was - and still is - beaming so i got a good contrast with some of the pics

This was with the sun behind me - obviously

and for a bit of contrast...

If you note in the second picture, there is a van parked up on the water tower land. He works for the water company that own the tower and i almost parked there but happily there is a patch of land next to the tower that is public land, so i parked there and flew from there.

I've just come back from a dawn shoot of a stately home in Berkshire. Took this at the start:

Howdy drone folk (Great photos btw biggrin )

I had a DJI Phantom quite a few years back, which was far too big and a hassle to take anywhere with the suitcase-style case I had, so I subsequently took it no where.

Does anyone have recommendations for a cheap-ish <250g drone?

Happy to buy used and see lots of DJI Mavics, Mini, Spark etc for sale so I'm thinking along those lines, but they're all much of a muchness to me.

Depends what you want, mine is a mini 2 and i have to use my phone as the screen - connects to the controller and sits on top of it - but it shoots in 4k, is easy to fly and sub 250grams.
Or
The mini 3 pro is very popular and has a built in screen which is always handy but i seem to remember these being a bit pricey when new but they are a great bit of kit as is the Mini 4 which is more or less the same but cheaper.

For what i use mine for, the Mini 2 is great as it does what i want and i don't plan on doing things at a professional level/ selling pics so the upgrade to a 3Pro or 4 is not worth the extra for me.
