Shot this for a private client recently, the main shoot was in another location at sunset but we headed into town afterwards to do some of this for fun. Think this was seven or eight exposures, stacked for additional trails.

Wow, great stuff. I've just dipped my toes into this stuff and will come up with more. Handheld off course...

Night photography is great, especially as it's one of the areas that camera phones just just cannot conquer.

Did this last night as one of my pics to sell my car. Took a bit of Lightroom processing to get a nice balance of seeing the car but not blazing headlights.

Looking north from Portskerra just before the sky exploded into life with the best Aurora I've seen so far living up here. Yes a tripod was used. thumbup

iPhone does OK but with low-key and high contrast in low key situations the poor thing gets lost...

I'll throw this one out there as I think it counts as night photography smile IC 1805 - Heart Nebula

Still so much to learn on how to process these things!

You can get decent results from an iPhone (this is an 11 Pro Max) - even hand held.

Maybe the lighting helped, but I was really happy with these - especially as they were taken after a few beers and glühweins!

Some great shots here. I’ve just started using Topaz denoise and am impressed with the results. Does anyone else use it?
