I find bears to be probably the most scary animal - I recall a friend 'meeting' a polar bear in the wild (much as in this photo) and described how the bear simply looked at him as lunch. A baleful stare devoid of all emotion - 'you're food and I'll eat you, probably in the most hideous way imaginable'.

A polar bear is supposed to be just about the most dangerous animal you could meet. Hungry, huge, fast and powerful.

The only animal that views humans as prey and will actively hunt them... But I thought the Kodiak Bear was the biggest land carnivore?

kodiak bears aren't exclusively carnivore, they eat fruit n stuff (pots of honey etc wink )

not much of that where Polar bears live
