The birds they mock me
Discussion
Just found this thread - some amazing photos in here, loved the kingfisher ones in particular as this has always been one of my favourite birds. I've seen them at the canal near us, but they are almost impossible to photograph as they fly far too fast.
I took this one last year - spending time in the garden during lockdown #1 I noticed this proud chap sitting in a tree at the back of the garden.

Kingfishers are not impossible you just need to watch them for a while and find their favourite perchI took this one last year - spending time in the garden during lockdown #1 I noticed this proud chap sitting in a tree at the back of the garden.
These are from a couple of hours observation and a lot of waiting, mind you catching one in flight is impossible

They are impossible when you have an excitable dog with you that won't stand still for more than a minute These are from a couple of hours observation and a lot of waiting, mind you catching one in flight is impossible
I have thought about going back on my own and waiting but I'm very much an amateur amateur photographer so don't really have the kit to take a shot I would be happy with. Thankfully this thread supplies plenty of quality pictures
