I keep toying with the idea of getting either the RF600 or the RF800 to do more wildlife again. Also, the fact it's SO light is a massive bonus, I just don't notice I'm carrying it, where as with my 300 2.8, that becomes a burden after a while. It's also nice to just wander around a park without giant, white L glass for the world to see.
Very happy with the RF so far.

I mainly do aviation photography, but got into wildlife due to the pandemic. The RF600 does come with the noise issue, which might be a problem when printing- I will know soon enough. I do think it'll really come into its own on sunny days.

Thanks for that, the fixed f11 is about the only thing holding me back, I have the original EOS R and i know it handles noise pretty well at higher than normal ISO's but I feel that anything other than good light it may cause problems. Also, the fact it's SO light is a massive bonus, I just don't notice I'm carrying it, where as with my 300 2.8, that becomes a burden after a while.
