I have noticed that the car runs perfectly at night or on cold days, when the air temperature is probably down to around 12-14 degrees C. The performance at these times is easily the best I have ever experienced from my S3.

I can only describe the engine as being laboured at other times, when the weather is hotter.

Does this suggest any particular problem to anyone?

I wondered if there is a problem with either an air temp sensor within the flow meters or fuel temp sensor or perhaps even engine temperature as the engine will run cooler at night.

Alternatively, could the coil under perform when very hot (it sits on top of the engine remember)but still perform properly when cooler?
