Many thanks for that. At what point would you suggest that injectors ought to be replaced? I have an S3 thats done around 45,000 and do get some erratic running at times.
For instance I have to drive at 30 mph in 3rd and 40mph in 4th. Driving at low speed in any higher gear results in violent shunting through transmission.

The problem is that the injectors can be around £70-80 each (V8 ones anyway) times 6 so most people wait until they have a problem. Or get them tested first.

AF Tuning in Chesterfield sorted mine this weekend!!!Had lurching problems etc and had to feather when changing up. Suspected my 5th (in 9 months) throttle pot and they agreed - took TP off and tested on oscilloscope and found OK - put back on and it was rubbish - fluctuating tick over - the lot.
They removed throttle plate, cleaned and reset and then 'drilled the throttle pot to give some adjustment' Pick up at low revs now superb - best its ever been. I really do not understand 'drilling the TP' but if anyone who has these problems is interested, I'm sure I could find out.
