There is a good collection of US based Lotus owners on http://www.LotusElanCentral.com and I know a fair few of us haunt around these parts too. Just don't want to clutter PH with the mechanical chat of rewinding window motors or fettling soft-tops!

Nice to have a space for us though should we need it.

Hi Guys wavey

Not redundant at all, I just didn't know it was here. I live in Austin, TX - here are some pics of my Esprit Turbo with a few mods. Hope you like it, anyone up for a cruise?

I'd be up for a cruise if you come to me...,, I'm in the uk. Me and richie slow were concerned for the health of this forum so decided to poke our heads in from hsv and monaro to spark some life back into it. smile but I am guessing there is not a great deal of lotus' in the USA.

Sounds like we need a road trip to Texas now driving

That's a very interesting car park in the picture biggrin

I'm glad we've woken up some lurkers, someone started a thread on the monaro forum a few months back asking for the lurkers to come forward. OMG there were dozens of them! hehe

I've been lusting after a Europa Special lately, do you think I should see a doctor?

I read the Evo article on Lotus' plans for world domination the other day and brought it up with some of my colleagues who are "car guys" at the lunch table here in Houston, TX. Most of them didn't even realise that Lotus produced cars any more, let alone were selling them and had a dealer in Houston! The dealer is opposite the Jag dealer where my XFR gets looked after (a bit too regularly maybe) and I keep thinking about dropping in to check out the Evora. But you really don't see many Lotuses around here. Perhaps because they are one of the few Euro cars that are more expensive here than back home? Is a new Elise in the UK the same price as a six month old XFR?
