The Fishponds garage was Wheelbase and is now White Cube Automotive run by Dan who bought out the old business. He's a good guy and has also done some work on mine.

Thank you Six Fiend, I was really struggling to recall their old name, I knew it ended in 'base' but so does the one in Sodbury and that is too much form my old brain to compute these days!!

Second this. I don't think I'd ever take my M3 anywhere else.

From everything I've read I don't know why anyone would take an M car any where else in Bristol. I've not experienced any other specialists and I am sure they are good, but Redish have a stunning and consistent reputation with people taking special M cars internationally to them.

Thread resurrection!
Just wondering whether there are any other experiences of Mill Lane Automotive in Bristol? Thinking of letting them loose on my e39 M5 for a few jobs needing doing.

I’d go to honestly Redish Automotive. James is so good I’d seriously consider owning BMWs just because I absolutely trust him with them. He is a friend of mine from as far back as 2004 when (two jobs before he started his business) when he put himself out massively to help me sort my knackered 328i bottom end. That wasn’t the only time either.

Redish, when I’ve contacted them for help / advice, were extremely helpful. I remember that, even all these years on. Last owned a BMW about 8 years ago!

Have used them a fair few times over the years, but looking for alternatives. Hence wondering if anyone had used Mill Lane Automotive on older M cars.

I used Mill Lane for everything when I had my Alpina B10 3.3 manual, and can thoroughly recommend Lee and the team. IME, they really know what they are about, and care. I'd have no hesitation taking an M to them.
