Hoping to get down to the May meet this Sunday, weather permitting.

If anyone is heading from Devon and fancies a convoy over I’m happy to meet somewhere on the way.
Which part of Devon?
Exeter.

Anyone going down on Sunday?
I will be heading down from Warminster if anyone wants to meet up to drive down?
Looking at the weather forecast it should be nice and sunny so guessing Haynes will be busy!

It certainly was busy ! I didn't get there until about 9:30 and the field at the back was filling up then.

I was there early 8-ish and the main car park was getting pretty full. Some interesting cars and friendly owners / attendees.
Just wish (some) people could be a little more 'careful' when leaving..... we don't want an 'incident' outside Haynes! Particularly as the Police are often on the A303.......

Some characters are sat at the entrance with their camera phones, the driver decides to put on a show and the obvious happens!

I arrived there around 9.15 and was directed straight into the front car park! biggrin
Timed it just right as a Porsche was leaving so 1 out 1 in, and it was very busy.

Nice picture. The angle captures the low slung nature of the cars. Well done.

Weather looks ok for Sunday

But...

Haynes (publishers) are up for sale https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-news/...

I did read somewhere that the Museum is up for sale, as well. But I can't find a link.
Just hope that if it is, the new owners will carry on the Breakfast Clubs.

Be dismayed - but not surprised - if whoever buys it splits the collection up.

AFAIK quite a few of the cars are privatey owned and having them 'on display' is basically cheap storage

The Haynes International Motor Museum is a registered charity and separate to the publishing company as far as I know?

Are you sure? I thought I read that they wouldn't do that, you would have to donate the car to them (and they might not actually want it).

Anyone heading down tomorrow? I am tempted but not sure I can handle getting up so early on a Sunday, especially when defrosting might be required.

On the flip side it’s surely going to be quieter than normal?
